School Nurse

The nurse supports student health and safety at The Center for Early Education and reports to the Assistant Head of School. The role coordinates school health services, responds to infirmary and emergency needs, develops student care plans, and works with families, teachers, specialists, and administrators. It also supports staff training and school preparedness so students’ health needs can be addressed during the school day.

What you'll do

• Dispense and record approved medications
• maintain medication supplies and records
• oversee health-related emergency response
• create and review student care plans
• develop health-service policies and procedures
• conduct nursing assessments and recommend follow-up
• coordinate first aid, CPR, and bloodborne-pathogen training
• maintain training records
• partner with the Emergency Preparedness Team
• coordinate annual vaccination and blood drives
• respond to injuries and safety hazards.
