Anesthesia Technician

The Anesthesia Technician role is onsite in Stanford, CA, with compensation of $43.79–$49.10 per hour. Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford supports children and families through advanced technology and family-centered care; this position supports the Department of Anesthesia. The technician prepares and maintains anesthesia equipment and supplies so clinicians can deliver safe, cost-effective anesthetic care. The role also contributes to equipment quality, infection control, documentation, and effective teamwork in the department.

What you'll do

• Check and set up anesthesia equipment and supplies, including anesthesia machines, monitors, invasive lines, and non-controlled pharmaceuticals
• prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia
• clean, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and arrange repair or replacement of equipment
• perform quality control, quality assurance, and preventive maintenance activities
• maintain records and patient charges
• practice aseptic techniques and follow infection-control policies
• perform housekeeping and stocking
• may assist anesthesia providers with intra-operative fluid management
• participate in quality improvement and staff education activities.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of directly related experience, and RQI Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support or American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
