Family Practice Physician

Job overview

The Family Practice Physician role is onsite in Ogema, MN, with compensation of $180 per hour. The physician works in a full-time outpatient walk-in clinic at an Indian Health Service facility, supporting the IHS mission to improve the health of American Indian and Alaska Native populations. The physician evaluates and treats patients of all ages with acute and chronic conditions, provides follow-up and preventive care, and coordinates with clinical colleagues. The role contributes to accessible primary care through diagnosis, treatment, patient education, and referrals.

What you'll do

• Provide outpatient care to walk-in patients of all ages
• take histories, perform examinations, assess and diagnose
• treat acute illness and manage chronic conditions
• order and interpret tests, labs, and imaging
• prescribe medications under applicable guidelines
• document encounters in the EHR
• collaborate with nursing, behavioral health, pharmacy, and specialty services
• provide education, preventive guidance, and referrals
• comply with IHS policies and clinical protocols.
