The Fiber Splicer role is onsite in Hudson, WI. Compensation is $28–$45 per hour. The position supports connectivity services by connecting, rearranging, repairing, and maintaining outside cable infrastructure, including copper, fiber, and coax. The splicer performs cable work and testing to maintain reliable network signals, documenting production and materials used. The role may involve bucket trucks, utility poles, outdoor work in inclement weather, emergency splicing needs, and travel availability.

What you'll do

• Splice, repair, rearrange, and terminate cable facilities
• install splice capsules and hardware
• test fiber using OTDR and fusion-splicing equipment
• maintain existing plant without signal interruptions
• operate bucket trucks and construction equipment
• complete daily production reports.

Why this role

Five years of utility construction fiber-splicing experience is required. A valid DOT Medical Card is required or the candidate must be willing to obtain one.
