The Horizontal Directional Drilling Crew Leader / Foreman role is onsite in Elmendorf, TX, with projects throughout Central, East, and West Texas. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Essel’s HDD crews on drilling projects across Texas. This hands-on leader directs a 4–5 person crew and can perform drilling and locating work as needed. The role coordinates people, equipment, production, and safety so field operations meet project specifications and schedules.

What you'll do

• Lead and supervise a 4–5 person HDD crew
• plan daily work and assign responsibilities
• maintain production schedules and conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and JSAs
• train and mentor crew members
• coordinate equipment, tooling, materials, and manpower
• communicate with project managers, superintendents, and customers
• perform drilling and locating when needed
• interpret construction drawings and bore profiles
• assist with bore planning, utility conflict identification, rig setup, tooling selection, pullbacks, and mud-system monitoring
• inspect equipment, maintain jobsite safety and environmental compliance, and complete production reports, timesheets, and equipment documentation.

Why this role
