The Heavy Equipment Operator / Driller Trainee - Construction position is onsite in Harrisburg, PA, paying $22–$24 per hour, plus a $150 weekly travel allowance and travel and meal allowances as described. The role supports Maine Drilling & Blasting’s construction drilling and blasting work. The trainee learns drilling operations and performs equipment and field tasks under instruction from superintendents, blasting supervisors, or drill operators. Safe equipment operation, accurate field records, and completion of training support the company’s project work and development of skilled drillers.

What you'll do

• Perform daily maintenance on assigned equipment
• follow company safety procedures
• learn and execute drill patterns and layouts established by the Blaster Foreman
• inventory and maintain drill accessories
• communicate problems and terrain conditions
• complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards
• coordinate and carry supplies
• participate in required meetings
• complete Driller I training.

Why this role
