Project Engineer Intern — Mechanical Projects, Summer 2027

The Project Engineer Intern role is onsite in Chandler, AZ, with anticipated travel to project sites around the greater Phoenix area. Compensation is $24 per hour. Murray Company’s Operations group supports mechanical projects including plumbing, HVAC, process piping, and industrial work. The intern gains hands-on project management experience by assisting project managers and teams across pre-construction, fabrication, and field installation. The role supports project coordination, documentation, cost planning, quality, safety, and communication among project participants.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects
• review designs, drawings, and specifications
• manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports
• participate in site visits
• support cost estimates and budgets
• aid quality-control measures
• facilitate communication among project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
• assist with safety protocol implementation and compliance.
