The Cellar Master role is onsite in Walla Walla, WA, and pays $50,000–$65,000 per year. Precept Wine is the Northwest's largest privately owned wine company and operates vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms; this role supports the Canoe Ridge Winery team. Reporting to the winemaker, the Cellar Master coordinates daily cellar operations and staff workflow, overseeing wine and facility quality and supporting the production process through bottling preparation and equipment management.

What you'll do

• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly cellar operations with the winemaker
• manage cellar staff workflow and work orders
• oversee wine and facility quality
• assist with seasonal hiring and train employees on equipment and standard procedures
• maintain a clean and sanitized facility
• operate and maintain winery equipment
• manage barrel racking, topping, blending, cleaning, and sanitation
• coordinate wine delivery to bottling after fining, filtering, and bottle preparation.

Why this role

Requires three or more years of cellar master experience in a large facility and ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. Forklift certification is required or must be obtained; extended hours and weekends may be needed during harvest and bottling.
