Mental Health Specialist (Nights)

What you'll do

• Conduct patient environmental and safety rounds
• report safety concerns
• maintain a clean and orderly environment
• establish therapeutic relationships and set appropriate limits
• provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• orient newly admitted patients
• share progress information with assigned nurses and healthcare professionals
• encourage participation in activities and meetings
• escort and supervise patients during appointments and outings
• participate in assigned psycho-educational groups
• maintain professional boundaries
• complete assigned training.

Why this role

High school diploma required. A bachelor’s degree in psychology or a mental-health-related field is preferred, with three or more years of mental health care experience considered in lieu of the degree. A Texas motor vehicle license is required.
