The Home Health Aide / Caregiver – Personal Care role is onsite in Cleveland, OH, and pays $16–$21 per hour. Available shifts are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. BrightStar Care provides personalized home care intended to support clients’ comfort, dignity, and independence. The caregiver assists an elderly client who experiences sundowning, helping maintain comfort and safety through personal care, companionship, reassurance, and familiar routines. The role also supports daily living needs and communicates changes in the client’s condition to the care team.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• provide companionship and reassurance
• respond calmly to sundowning symptoms using gentle redirection and familiar routines
• assist with mobility and transfers as needed
• prepare meals and provide medication reminders according to the care plan
• perform light housekeeping and laundry
• report changes in behavior, mood, or condition
• follow care plans, agency policies, and confidentiality requirements.

Why this role

Experience with dementia-related behaviors or sundowning is highly preferred. CPR certification, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license are listed qualifications; HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training is preferred.
