Security Engineer, Tanium

Job overview

The Security Engineer, Tanium role is hybrid in Orlando, FL, with 2–3 days in the office. Compensation is $100,000–$110,000 per year. The role supports Cyderes’ security work helping organizations improve identity, exposure, and risk programs and respond to threats. This engineer implements, administers, and optimizes Tanium across enterprise environments to improve endpoint visibility, strengthen security posture, and increase operational efficiency. The work includes endpoint management and remediation, platform integrations, automation, and support for security investigations and incident response.

What you'll do

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain Tanium
• implement and optimize Tanium modules
• manage endpoint visibility, asset discovery, vulnerability assessments, and remediation
• configure automated patch management and software deployment
• monitor endpoint health and recommend remediation
• develop queries, dashboards, reports, and workflows
• support investigations and incident response using Threat Response
• integrate Tanium with SIEM, EDR, ITSM, and vulnerability management platforms
• develop automation scripts
• troubleshoot platform, connectivity, agent deployment, and configuration issues.
