Registered Nurse (RN) — Float

The Registered Nurse (RN) Float role is onsite in Port Arthur, TX. Pay is $47 per hour. The position supports nursing activities on the assigned unit and coordinates care among patients, families, physicians, and other care team members. The RN plans and delivers skilled patient care using the nursing process, advocates for patients, and helps maintain safe, effective unit operations. When acting as charge nurse, the RN may also support assignments, staff coordination, and unit communication during the shift.

What you'll do

• Direct, plan, and organize nursing activities for an assigned shift
• deliver and coordinate patient care in accordance with policies and procedures
• advocate for patients
• communicate with staff, physicians, patients, and families about condition changes, test results, and care concerns
• delegate tasks in accordance with Texas requirements
• support patient safety and regulatory compliance. Additional charge nurse functions apply when assigned to that role.
