The Senior Manager, Optical Fabrication role is onsite in Fremont, CA. Compensation is $150,000–$180,000 per year. The role leads Gooch & Housego Fremont’s optical fabrication and optical and metal coating operations, supporting a global precision photonics manufacturer. The manager establishes a disciplined manufacturing operating system and is accountable for production performance, organizational capability, and execution. The role coordinates with planning, engineering, quality, supply chain, facilities, and maintenance to improve safety, quality, yield, throughput, cycle time, cost, capacity, and on-time delivery while preparing operations for new products and growth.

What you'll do

• Lead optical fabrication and optical and metal coating operations
• establish and maintain manufacturing operating systems
• translate customer and business requirements into manufacturing priorities and capacity plans
• identify and resolve constraints
• improve process capability, equipment reliability, WIP visibility, and production performance
• develop manufacturing talent
• support new products, process transfers, qualification, production ramps, and capacity expansion
• lead cross-functional problem solving and continuous improvement.
