Job overview
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) role is onsite in Verona, NJ, with work in clients’ homes, schools, and community settings. Pay is $25–$35 per hour. POPS aba provides applied behavior analysis services to people with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Working under a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the technician implements individualized interventions, teaches functional skills, and tracks progress to help clients work toward their goals.
What you'll do
- Implement BCBA-developed behavior intervention plans
- provide one-to-one instruction using ABA techniques, including discrete trial training and naturalistic teaching
- collect client progress and behavior data
- support communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living skills
- collaborate with the BCBA and team
- communicate with clients, families, and caregivers
- participate in ongoing training.
