Road Service Technician — Diesel

Job overview

The Road Service Technician — Diesel role is onsite in Chicopee, MA, with pay of $35–$40 per hour and stated earning potential up to $120,000 per year. NETC Fleet Services provides roadside service for trucks, trailers, motor coaches, and select heavy equipment. The technician responds to service calls, diagnoses and repairs commercial diesel vehicles and equipment, and coordinates with dispatch, parts, management, and customers to restore service safely and promptly.

What you'll do

• Perform emergency roadside diagnostics, repairs, and service
• diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
• repair brakes, electrical systems, tires, engines, and powertrains
• diagnose and repair air-conditioning and emissions systems
• coordinate parts
• test-drive equipment when needed
• follow safety procedures
• communicate with dispatch, parts, customers, and management
• document service work
• maintain the assigned service truck and report equipment issues.
