Dietary Services Assistant

The Dietary Services Assistant role is onsite in Newland, NC, with compensation of $14–$16 per hour. Jonas Ridge Assisted Living’s dining services team supports residents through meal preparation and service. The role helps provide residents with meals that follow ordered diets and menu requirements while maintaining safe food handling and a clean kitchen. It contributes to dining operations by assisting with preparation, service, food storage, inventory rotation, and cleaning.

What you'll do

• Assist with scheduled meal preparation, including advance preparation under the dietary technician’s direction
• prepare ordered special or modified diets and snacks
• assist with meal service
• maintain appropriate food temperatures
• rotate inventory
• respect resident rights
• follow health and environmental regulations
• clean kitchen and dining areas and wash cooking materials and dinnerware
• participate in job-related training.
