What you'll do

• Provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under supervision.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards.
• Possesses ability to perform testing to evaluate resident status and provide necessary care.
• Recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively in emergent situations.
• Ensures resident health, comfort, and safety.
• Contributes to resident assessment and administers medications/treatments.
• Documents resident interactions and outcomes.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
• Counsels residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.

Experience

Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
