Junior Leadership and Social-Emotional Learning Coach

Job overview

The Junior Leadership and Social-Emotional Learning Coach role is onsite in New York, NY, at one or two assigned program sites. Compensation is $30–$35 per hour. New York Edge provides school-based afterschool and summer programming focused on academic achievement, social-emotional development, and leadership growth. The coach implements curriculum, administers assessments, and supports referrals and interventions, working with students, families, school staff, and certified clinicians to promote social-emotional skills and positive leadership.

What you'll do

• Administer social-emotional learning assessments and support data entry
• implement leadership and social-emotional learning curriculum
• support external mental health referrals
• assist with assessment and short-term interventions alongside certified clinicians
• collaborate with teachers and program staff
• participate in professional development and reflective practice
• apply restorative justice approaches.
