Lead Operator (Class IV) – Water Treatment

The Lead Operator (Class IV) – Water Treatment role is onsite in Monroe, LA. Compensation is not specified. The role serves as the process authority for the Meta RPL Industrial Water Treatment Plant and supports its water production and treatment operations. The operator directs treatment processes, compliance, shift coordination, and readiness to move from standby to production. The role leads the operating team and maintains reliable delivery of cooling water while responding to process conditions and emergencies; a documented 24-hour, seven-day on-call standby rotation is part of the position.

What you'll do

• Direct daily operation of groundwater wells, filtration, reverse osmosis, disinfection, storage, and pumping
• serve as Operator in Responsible Charge and document process-control decisions
• lead standby-readiness and weather-watch procedures
• oversee operating procedures, sampling, logs, and compliance records
• coordinate the operating team and shift turnover
• direct response to process upsets and emergencies
• review SCADA status, alarms, and trends
• coordinate planned work with Meta and contractors
• participate in the documented 24/7 on-call standby rotation.
