The Experienced Class A Truck Driver — 3rd Shift role is onsite in Smyrna, TN. Compensation is not specified. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The driver supports Steel Technologies’ deliveries between company locations, suppliers, and customers. The role transports steel products safely and on schedule, maintaining the vehicle and required documentation while securing and inspecting cargo. Reliable deliveries and customer service support the company’s operations and customer commitments.

What you'll do

• Operate a heavy-capacity truck, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver steel products
• perform daily vehicle inspections and monthly checklists
• report defects, accidents, violations, or damage
• position the truck for loading and unloading
• secure and inspect cargo and securement devices
• inspect material
• maintain inspection and incident documentation
• and follow pickup and delivery schedules.

Why this role

Requires a Class A CDL, two years of driving experience, ability to operate a clutch pedal and tractor-trailer for up to 10 consecutive hours, and compliance with DOT, FMCSR, and state requirements. Steel hauling experience is preferred.
