Sommelier

Job overview

The Sommelier role is onsite in Phoenix, AZ, working across the hotel's multiple restaurants. Compensation is $17–$20 per hour. The Global Ambassador's beverage program makes wine a central part of the guest experience across its dining venues. The sommelier helps deliver that experience by maintaining an engaging wine list, guiding guests through selections and pairings, and keeping the cellar ready for service. The role also shares wine knowledge with wait staff and may host tastings and special events.

What you'll do

• Curate and maintain the wine list in collaboration with chefs and management
• recommend food and wine pairings
• educate guests about varietals, regions, and styles
• keep the wine cellar stocked, organized, and ready for service
• train and support wait staff with wine knowledge and pairing insights
• plan and host wine tastings and special events
• follow health, safety, and alcohol-service regulations
• stay current on wine trends, regions, and winemaking techniques.
