The Printed Circuit Board Layout Designer position is onsite in the Pinehurst area of NC, and compensation is not specified. Kraken Kinetics designs and manufactures defense products for the United States Armed Forces and its allies. The designer develops and releases printed circuit boards for advanced defense products, working with engineering and manufacturing partners to make assemblies manufacturable, testable, and configuration-controlled. The role also helps establish ECAD practices, layout standards, documentation, and design-for-manufacturing feedback.

What you'll do

• Perform PCB layout for digital, analog, mixed-signal, power, and safety-critical electronics
• collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers
• create and maintain footprints, symbols, component libraries, and ECAD documentation
• support DFM, DFT, and DFA reviews
• generate fabrication and assembly outputs
• work with fabrication and assembly vendors
• participate in design reviews
• support engineering change orders and controlled releases
• improve ECAD workflows and documentation.
