Personal Care Assistant

Job overview

The Personal Care Assistant role is onsite in client homes across Ville Platte, Pine Prairie, Turkey Creek, and Eunice, LA. Pay is $10.50 per hour, with mileage reimbursement if applicable. A First Name Basis provides in-home care for seniors and people with disabilities across Louisiana and other states.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting
• provide companionship and emotional support
• perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
• assist with feeding as needed
• provide medication reminders
• accompany and transport clients to appointments and errands
• monitor and report changes in health
• document care
• travel reliably between assigned visits
• complete required in-service training.
