Lead Framer — National Travel & Training

The Lead Framer — National Travel & Training role is based in Pearl River, LA for training and involves onsite work at construction projects nationwide, with approximately 50–75% travel. Compensation is $38–$42 per hour, plus overtime eligibility. The role supports NexGen Steel’s installation of cold-formed steel framing systems and its Certified Framer Training Program. The role applies traditional wood or timber framing experience to help crews adopt NexGen’s steel framing system. It provides hands-on installation support, troubleshoots field issues, coaches crews on safe and quality installation, and helps train contractors and expand the network of qualified installers.

What you'll do

• Travel to NexGen projects nationwide for hands-on installation support
• learn the company’s cold-formed steel framing system and standards
• work with crews on staging, bracing, standing, connecting, fastening, and sequencing components
• review plans and installation instructions
• establish safe and efficient installation sequences
• troubleshoot issues with project management, engineering, and production teams
• coach crews
• document field challenges
• capture project photos and videos
• complete training and, once qualified, lead Certified Framer Training sessions primarily at the Pearl River facility.
