Lead Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

The Lead Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) role is hybrid, with at least two days per week onsite in Washington, DC, and additional site support as needed. The role provides senior technical accountability for cybersecurity execution across assigned federal systems. It leads ISSO activities, authorization and continuous-monitoring work, risk tracking, quality reviews, and coordination with government stakeholders while mentoring cybersecurity personnel and remaining hands-on.

What you'll do

• Lead and oversee contractor ISSO activities
• serve as technical interface with government cybersecurity stakeholders
• develop and review Risk Management Framework and authorization artifacts
• coordinate system categorization, control implementation, assessments, POA&M management, and authorization activities
• manage risk and issue registers
• support continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, audits, and inspections
• review deliverables
• mentor ISSO and cybersecurity staff.
