What you'll do

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties
• develop a plan of care based on patient data, procedure, and expected outcomes
• prepare, monitor, educate, or recover patients
• assist the anesthesiologist with patient safety and quality of care
• document the nursing process
• update physician preference cards when procedures change
• prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments
• assist with counting sponges, sharps, and instruments
• participate in quality assurance and improvement.

Why this role
