Technical Specialist 4, Building and Industrial Control Systems

The Technical Specialist 4 role is onsite in Caroline County, VA. Pay is $112,560–$140,700 per year. The position supports Modular Mission Critical, M.C. Dean’s manufacturing campus for modular data center and critical-infrastructure products. The specialist provides advanced technical leadership for building and industrial control systems, supporting their development, integration, testing, startup, commissioning, and calibration. The work helps ensure interconnected systems operate effectively and securely, while supporting project delivery and training for regional technicians.

What you'll do

• Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems
• configure TCP/IP and communication devices
• troubleshoot communication failures
• configure Modbus gateways and power-system equipment
• monitor and retrieve data from EPMS and SCADA applications
• support breaker monitoring, PLC updates, commissioning, and functional startup
• prepare and review electrical sketches, plans, and data sheets
• manage startup progress and issue lists
• provide technical support and training to operators
• travel to customer sites for startups as needed.
