The Windows Subject Matter Expert / Lead Infrastructure role is onsite in San Jose, Fremont, or Irvine, CA, with compensation of $50–$55 per hour. Apolis is seeking an experienced infrastructure lead to manage and support enterprise Windows Server and Linux environments. The role provides hands-on technical leadership, advanced troubleshooting, and coordination of L2/L3 operations across Windows and Linux platforms. It supports reliable, secure infrastructure through administration, patching, automation, monitoring, incident response, and operational improvement.

What you'll do

• Lead Windows Server administration and support
• manage server configurations, security, availability, and performance
• administer Hyper-V hosts and failover clusters
• support virtualization and Linux environments
• resolve L2/L3 incidents
• execute OS patching and security hardening
• automate routine operations with Bash, Python, PowerShell, and Ansible
• monitor infrastructure health
• participate in root cause analysis, change planning, and capacity reviews
• maintain runbooks and CMDB records.
