Job overview

Nuclear Medicine Technician - PRN in Cibolo, TX. This is a per diem, onsite position. Compensation is not specified. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will maintain technical skills needed to perform nuclear medicine procedures, handle radioactive materials, and generate necessary documentation. They will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and adhere to license requirements and safety procedures.

What you'll do

  • Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures and evaluates images for technical quality.
  • Demonstrates competence in all aspects of nuclear medicine: physiology, procedure prep, technical factors, positioning, etc.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Adheres to all conditions of the Radioactive Material License and the Operating, Safety, and Emergency Procedures.
  • Performs and documents wipe testing, radiation surveys, dose calibrator assays, et cetera as required.
  • Performs all required quality control/quality assurance procedures.
  • Generates and maintains all additional required records.
  • Demonstrates competence with and proper use of the Radiology Information System to include scheduling of exams, completion of exams, and entering of charges for procedures performed.

What we're looking for

Education
High School/ GED and graduate of an accredited (preferably by Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology - JRCNMT) educational program.
