K–8 Substitute Educator

Job overview

The K–8 Substitute Educator role is onsite in Merrillville, IN. Compensation varies by teacher type and assignment: $20–$26 per hour. Teachers On Demand places interim and permanent staff in K–12 schools and districts and works with more than 200 educational institutions. The substitute educator maintains continuity of classroom instruction during teacher absences. The role delivers provided lesson plans, supports a safe and inclusive learning environment, adapts instruction for diverse learners, and works with school staff to support student learning.

• Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher
