Revenue Cycle Specialist I

The Revenue Cycle Specialist I role is onsite in Casper, WY. Pay is $19–$24 per hour. The position works in a medical clinic and business office for Community Health Center of Central Wyoming. The specialist reviews and submits medical claims, follows up on denials and unpaid accounts, posts patient payments, and responds to billing questions. Accurate coding, documentation, and coordination with providers, insurers, and patients help the health center process claims and payments in a timely manner.

What you'll do

• Review open claims for readiness and ensure accurate ICD-10 and HCPCS/CPT code assignment and supporting documentation
• query providers about unclear codes or incomplete documentation
• submit secondary billing
• review, work, or appeal denied and unpaid claims
• post patient payments
• establish and monitor payment arrangements
• resolve billing and collection inquiries
• manage assigned accounts-receivable and credit reports
• identify billing trends
• contact insurers
• and maintain knowledge of insurance policies and code sets.
