Part-Time Case Manager, Family Empowerment & Transitional Housing

Job overview

The Part-Time Case Manager role is onsite at the Madge Bush Transitional Living Center in Houston, TX, and pays $25.00 per hour for 20 hours per week. The program supports women with children experiencing homelessness or housing instability. The case manager provides trauma-informed, strengths-based support to help families set goals, access services, and move toward safe permanent housing, increased income, and long-term stability. The role coordinates with program leadership and community partners while maintaining confidential records and escalating safety concerns according to policy.

What you'll do

• Conduct referrals, eligibility screening, intake, enrollment, orientation, and comprehensive assessments
• collaboratively develop and monitor Family Empowerment Plans
• conduct and document at least weekly check-ins
• coach participants on budgeting, savings, housing search, employment, education, and family routines
• coordinate referrals and supportive services
• support transition and exit planning
• respond to safety concerns and crises within role scope and follow reporting procedures
• maintain case notes, HMIS records when applicable, and required program reports.
