Direct Support Professional — South Wing Program

The Direct Support Professional works onsite in Rutland, Massachusetts. Compensation is $21.12–$24.58 per hour, depending on education and experience. The professional provides direct supervision and therapeutic support, teaches daily living skills, and documents progress. The role contributes to individualized care and development in coordination with an interactive team that includes nursing, education, therapists, and psychiatrists.

What you'll do

• Provide direct supervision to ensure youth safety and security
• provide therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment
• engage youth positively and reinforce appropriate behaviors
• teach and assist with activities of daily living
• complete progress notes and incident reports
• participate in a two-week paid orientation
• maintain or obtain MAPS certification within six months.

The South Wing program serves males ages 15–21 and uses a 1:3 staff-to-student ratio. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time positions, with an additional $250 bonus for MAP certification. Multiple schedules are available.
