Direct Support Professional (DSP) — Spanish-Speaking

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role provides onsite, community-based support at various locations throughout New Jersey, with compensation of $21.40–$30 per hour. Spanish fluency is required. ALAY Home Care provides person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP assists with daily living, community participation, behavioral support, and individualized support plans. The role helps individuals maintain routines, access appointments and activities, and receive consistent, documented care in coordination with families and the care team.

What you'll do

• Provide personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• assist with activities of daily living and routines
• offer companionship and emotional support
• support community activities and appointments
• follow behavioral and individual support plans
• assist with medication administration as permitted by training and requirements
• communicate with individuals, families, and care teams
• document services and daily activities
• use EVV to record shift start and end times.
