Assistant Director — Early Childhood Education

The Assistant Director role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. The position supports the learning center’s work to provide safe, quality education and care for children. Working under the Center Director, the Assistant Director helps ensure classroom activities and curriculum are delivered appropriately, supports staff in meeting center standards and regulations, and maintains communication with families and the community. The role also covers Center Director and teacher duties when needed.

• assume Center Director and teacher duties as needed during absences
• support adherence to center guidelines and state and local requirements
• implement improvements where needed

• follow center policies and state regulations
• maintain a professional development plan.

Why this role

Requires an associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, 3–5 years of direct early childhood experience, and infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. A Child Development Associate credential is a plus.
