IT Field Technician

The IT Field Technician works fully onsite at Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards, CA. Compensation is $25.85 per hour plus a $5.09-per-hour health and welfare allowance. Altech Solutions supports NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center under the AEGIS contract. The technician maintains and troubleshoots network infrastructure, supporting reliable data transmission across the facility. The role combines physical cable-plant work with network and hardware/software troubleshooting and technical data analysis.

What you'll do

• Install, support, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure and network devices
• install and remove copper, fiber-optic, and category cabling
• use diagnostic tools to analyze software, hardware, and transmission facilities
• diagnose and resolve network integrity, VOIP, and PC issues
• compile engineering data from field notes and manuals
• monitor data traffic and network resource performance.

Why this role
