The Direct Support Professional, Substitute role is onsite in Bristol, CT, with pay of $19.15 per hour. Bristol Adult Resource Center supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through residential, vocational, recreation, and day support services. The role teaches and supports participants in the Employment Enrichment Services Day Program, helping them build skills, independence, and progress toward employment goals. It also provides assigned direct care, records daily activities confidentially, and helps maintain a safe and respectful environment.

What you'll do

• Support participants’ learning, independence, and individual goals
• teach the program curriculum
• provide direct care as assigned or needed
• potentially transport individuals to programs and activities
• record daily activities while protecting confidential information
• maintain a safe, nurturing environment that respects participants’ rights
• and maintain required certifications and training.
