The role supports nursing operations and resident care at The Sands at South Beach Care Center. Under the Director of Nursing, the RN supervises nursing personnel and daily nursing activities during an assigned tour of duty. The role helps maintain safe, high-quality care through staff oversight, direct nursing care as needed, care-plan coordination, and compliance with facility policies and regulations.
What you'll do
- Monitor nursing care delivery and staff performance
- plan and conduct shift staff meetings
- identify care-delivery problems and implement corrective action. Report to the Director of Nursing and coordinate nursing services with other resident services. Develop work assignments, make rounds, follow up on complaints, and ensure adequate staffing. Support staff orientation, evaluations, in-services, and corrective action as needed. Oversee resident care, provide direct nursing care as necessary, start or restart IVs when ordered and necessary, monitor medication passes and treatments, and review medication administration records. Maintain safety, confidentiality, infection control, and quality-improvement practices
