Classroom Aide — Head Start and Early Head Start

The Classroom Aide role is onsite in Hamlet, NC, with a Monday–Friday schedule of either 6:45 a.m.–2:45 p.m. or 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. The starting rate is $14 per hour. Union County Community Action’s Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms serve children and families in the community. The aide supports teachers with classroom activities, supervision, organization, and family communication. The role helps children feel safe and supported while meeting their developmental and educational needs.

What you'll do

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision
• support children’s developmental and educational needs
• maintain classroom records and documentation
• help organize and clean the classroom
• supervise indoor and outdoor activities
• support family engagement and communication.
