What you'll do

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical exams
• interpret clinical findings and establish working diagnoses
• formulate and implement orthopedic treatment plans within scope
• coordinate diagnostic procedures under physician direction
• prepare patients for surgery
• perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as brace, cast, and splint applications
• assist in surgery when appropriately credentialed
• provide postoperative wound care and remove sutures or staples
• manage discharge planning and patient education
• communicate with referring and primary care physicians.
