What you'll do

• Assist the Director of Library Services with institutional responsibilities and initiatives
• lead the library department when the director is unavailable
• hire, train, and supervise library technicians and clerks in collaboration with leadership
• coordinate library and instructional technician tasks
• supervise and train work-study students as appropriate
• promote library services and resources
• conduct orientations, research sessions, and workshops
• provide reference and research services in person and online
• recommend print and electronic materials
• collaborate with academic departments on collection development and user services
• participate in collection evaluation and weeding decisions.
