Direct Support Professional

The Direct Support Professional position is onsite in Boonville, NC; compensation is $13–$17 per hour. IMPACT of the Piedmont supports the inclusion and community participation of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP provides person-centered residential support that promotes dignity, choice, independence, and safety. The role assists with daily living, personal goals, medication support as permitted, household routines, transportation, and community participation, and includes rotating on-call responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily routines, personal care, medication support as permitted, meal preparation, household tasks, transportation, and recreational and community activities
• support individual goals and life skills
• administer medications as ordered in residential settings or as outlined in plans
• provide supervision and crisis response
• attend staff meetings and training
• maintain confidentiality
• report concerns
• assist with appointments and household duties
• support health and safety.
