The Psychologist, Behavioral Health Examiner (C&P Examinations) role is in person in El Paso, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is $62.50 per hour. The role supports U.S. Veterans through one-time, non-treatment Compensation and Pension disability evaluations. The psychologist reviews medical history, conducts and documents evaluations, and submits findings to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The examiner provides assessment information; the VA makes disability determinations. Telehealth exams may be offered as needed.

What you'll do

• Review medical records and examination requests
• complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires and medical opinions in the electronic medical records system
• explain the exam process to veterans
• submit completed documentation within 24–48 hours
• administer and interpret psychological testing as needed
• and follow protocols for behavioral health or medical emergencies.
