Regional Strategy Director

The Regional Strategy Director is a hybrid, full-time position based at the American Flood Coalition’s Washington, DC headquarters, with an estimated 10% travel requirement. The stated salary range is $130,000–$160,000 per year. The Coalition advances resilient and equitable flood solutions across local, state, and federal levels. This senior role builds and leads the regional state government relations team and provides operational structure for its work. By coaching regional directors, shaping strategy, coordinating systems and reporting, and connecting field teams with headquarters resources, the director helps the Coalition scale flood adaptation policies across states.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage a team of approximately four regional government relations directors
• provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development
• foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing
• contribute to team plans and organizational strategy
• build project management systems, workflows, and reporting processes
• bridge regional directors and headquarters staff
• support regional advocacy, coalition-building, and relationship work.
