The Optician role is onsite in Austin, TX, part time. Compensation is $23–$25 per hour. What you'll do

• Help patients select frames and lenses based on prescriptions, lifestyle, and preferences
• interpret and verify prescriptions from licensed optometrists
• measure pupillary distance and segment height and make fitting adjustments
• dispense, adjust, and repair eyeglasses and contact lenses
• educate patients about lens options, coatings, and contact lens care
• process eyewear orders and coordinate with optical labs
• maintain patient records and inventory of frames and optical supplies.

Why this role

The listed schedule is Monday–Tuesday and Thursday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; shifts may change based on practice needs. Previous optician or optical retail/clinical experience is preferred. ABO certification is a plus, and a Texas opticianry license or eligibility to obtain one is preferred.
