The Lead AI Engineer, Enterprise Data and AI role is onsite in Foster City, CA, with a base salary range of $230,000–$300,000 per year. Zoox is developing an autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem for urban mobility. The role leads development and deployment of enterprise generative AI and large language model initiatives. It builds secure agentic workflows and data integrations that support functions including Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, HR, and Manufacturing, while enforcing identity-aware access and governance.

What you'll do

• Design and deploy production-grade LLM applications and intelligent agents
• architect reusable enterprise data and tool integrations using MCP servers
• implement AI gateway security controls including authentication, rate limiting, logging, and policy compliance
• implement identity inheritance through SSO
• partner with Information Security on access control and observability standards
• collaborate with cross-functional teams on secure, code-driven AI automation.
