Description

Assesses and identifies the appropriate vascular access for patients, using the nursing process. Places peripherally inserted central catheters, midlines, ultrasound guided IV's or recommends alternative means of access. Troubleshoots complications with vascular access devices. Documents vascular access information and actions in electronic health record.
