What you'll do
- Lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans
- assess and document resident conditions and needs
- implement physician orders
- assign nursing care to team members
- supervise and evaluate LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs
- administer medications, start IVs, and perform and document treatments
- participate in staff orientation and in-service training
- assist physicians with tests and procedures within the scope of the state Nursing Practice Act
- coordinate care with other departments
- supervise nursing unit scheduling and direction
- report resident observations and reactions.
