What you'll do

• Receive and route patient and external-provider calls
• follow protocols for clinical, administrative, and service requests
• assess caller requests and route them appropriately, including determining when same-day or next-day appointments may be needed
• document concise messages in the electronic health record
• maintain the telephone directory
• schedule and reschedule appointments
• coordinate transportation and interpreter requests
• troubleshoot schedules.
