Registered Nurse — Inpatient Psychiatric Care

The Registered Nurse role is onsite in Albion, IN, with pay of $39–$48 per hour. The Nursing Department supports Hickory Recovery’s mission to provide acute care for adults experiencing mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders. The nurse provides patient-centered psychiatric and medical care throughout hospitalization, coordinating with an interdisciplinary treatment team. The role supports assessment, individualized care planning, medication treatment, crisis response, patient safety, and continuity of care.

What you'll do

• Perform psychiatric and medical nursing assessments
• develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• monitor behavior, mental status, and physical condition
• administer medications and monitor effects
• participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation
• follow patient safety protocols
• supervise and delegate to MHTs and LPNs within scope
• participate in treatment meetings and handoffs
• maintain clinical documentation
• support discharge planning and continuity of care
• advocate for patient rights and follow infection-control practices.
